Stuffit deluxe 124/2/2023 ![]() ![]() ![]() The downside of compressing is of course the fact that if something goes wrong, then most probably the full project is flushed. If I would work on desktop (or floortop) computers I wouldnt bother with compressing- just buy a few more 1TB drives. I have 160GB internal and 120GB external drives. This is especially important because my main computer is a laptop and now I can carry more stuff with me (I travel a lot). I archived some of my old DP project folders and got about 50-60% savings, with non-destructive compressing! On a re-read of that article today, however, I am interpreting some of the statements differently than on first read. Well, it was actually the Wiki article on RAR that formed my perceptions of it being more ideal for audio than ZIP: ![]()
